The 31st Japan International Machine Tool Fair 2022 took place in Tokyo from 8-13 November 2022. JIMTOF is one of the world’s top five machinery trade shows in the world market relating to the metal working industry. On the mission to Japan were presented ELCA project partners: POLYMERIS and Bydgoszcz Industrial Cluster Tool Valley.
JIMTOF 2022 offered the largest number of exhibits to date, presented by 1,000 companies in 118,540㎡ of covered exhibition space, using the entire area of Tokyo Big Sight. JIMTOF 2022 shown machine tools and the machines that surround them as a comprehensive exhibition for manufacturing companies and institutions. It also set out the latest and most revolutionary technologies and products in the field of machine tools.
Visitors could take part in a wide range of co-organised events that provide many of highly specialised information, from industry-leading engineering conferences to lectures and seminars where top industry leaders discuss management strategies. There was also Special Event under the theme “Additive Manufacturing Area in JIMTOF 2022” which took place in the South Exhibition Hall.
JIMTOF has been held every two years since 1962 and celebrated its 60th anniversary this year.
During the mission to Japan, POLYMERIS was represented by Jean-Jacques Legat, who met with companies such as Mitsubishi, Toyobo, CLOMA, Mistui Chemical, Nitto Denko, Daicel Corporation and TMB among others.
The BIC representative, director Piotr Wojciechowski, had a meeting with representatives of the companies MAKINO, Nikon, Kiwa Machinery CO., TOYOSK and NTT DATA XAM Technologies Corporation. As part of the mission the representative of the BIC met with Ms. Ayuko Nagami from PAIH. During the meeting, possible forms of cooperation in the area of the tool and processing industry were discussed.
At the time discussions were held also with Japan Automobile Manufacturers Assocation Inc, Japan Auto Parts Industries Assocation (JAPIA) and National Institiute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology.
It was a great possibility to build relationships, develop new business opportunities, and learn about product innovations and market trends.
